Q+A
Candle Care
Before each use, trim your cotton or wooden wick to 1/4" before relighting your candle, this will give a cleaner burn. You can use either wick trimmers or scissors.
When you light your candle for the first time, it is important to let it burn for 2-3 hours and allow the melted wax pool to reach the edge of the container. This will ensure an even melt and prevent tunneling, as soy wax has "memory" and will follow this pattern for the following burns.
Do not burn your candle for more than 4 hours at a time.
What is soy wax?
Soy wax is derived from soybeans. They are a non-toxic, biodegradable, carbon neutral & a renewable, sustainable resource. Many candles are made from paraffin wax which is petroleum based & contains many different carcinogens.
Due to soy wax's plant based nature, it will burn cleaner, cooler, slower and more evenly.
How long will my candle burn?
8oz candles burn for approximately 40+ hours following proper candle care.
Are your candles vegan friendly?
Yes they are! We use American-grown soy wax, all natural fragrances infused with essential oils, and lead-free cotton wicks and natural soft crackling wooden wicks with no dyes.
Why can the wax appear bumpy after burning?
This is a feature of soy wax and does not affect the performance of your candle nor the quality of its burn. This feature is a sure sign that your candle is made from 100% soy wax.
How do I properly dispose of candles that I am done with?
Let the candle soak in hot soapy water for 15 minutes and wipe the remainder of the wax out. You can reuse the glass for storing snacks, jewelry, or a small gift.
If you choose not to reuse the container, please recycle!
Our glass is 100% recyclable.
